<product_title><![CDATA[WW MUD FEVER BOOTS]]></product_title>
<product_content><![CDATA[An innovative breathable boot which seals the leg from the knee to the base of the heel to prevent mud getting onto your horse’s legs, enabling freedom of turnout whatever the conditions.Featuring a waterproof and breathable fabric around the cannon bone to prevent overheating, and a close fitting hoof capsule with Kevlar reinforced heel protection, these innovative boots will keep legs clean and dry. A shaped PU strike pad also offers brushing protection for your horse’s legs.Sold as a Pair FAQ's1. My horse is prone to mud fever – how can this boot prevent it?The Mud Fever Turnout Boot is breathable and waterproof, preventing mud from coming into contact with the skin.Mud fever is caused by a range of bacteria present in Mud, which thrive in warm moist environments. The Mud Fever Turnout Boot works by:a.Preventing bacteria-laden mud from coming into contact with the skinb.Allowing the skin to stay cool and dry under the boot – preventing bacteria from multiplying2. How does the Woof Wear Mud Fever turnout boot differ from other turnout boots on the market? The MFTB is uniquely waterproof and Breathable and utilises a Submarine Hoof capsule to prevent Mud Ingress.3. How does the Submarine Hoof Capsule prevent Mud Ingress? Most turnout boots end above the bulbs of the heel allowing mud to easily seep up the leg. The Submarine hoof capsule is articulated and ‘dives deep’ underneath the bulbs of the heel to prevent the boot riding upwards preventing mud ingress. 4. How does the Breathable Fabric in the MFTB protect my horse? The loose fitting waterproof and breathable fabric allows air to circulate around the leg creating a micro-climate which prevents the warm, damp conditions mud fever loves. 5. My horse has mud fever now, will these boots be suitable? The Mud Fever Turnout boot is designed as a preventative aid, but, with veterinary guidance, this boot can be used with horses who have developed mild mud fever to stop it getting any worse. 6. How long can my horse wear them for?Providing you carry out daily checks the boots can be worn indefinitely. The boots should be removed daily, and legs inspected, make sure all the hook and loop fastenings are clean and free of debris, and if all is well, pop them back on again. If the fastenings are not clean, they will be unable to stick and therefore won’t keep the boot secure. 7. Are they front and hind specificThese versatile boots are suitable for front or hind legs – check our sizing guide for more information8. Do my horses legs need to be clean before I put the boots on?Remove all mud and bedding from your horse’s legs before fitting. The mud fever boot provides a snug fit to keep the mud out so make sure that there is nothing in the way which is likely to irritate your horse’s skin under the boot. 9. Is it ok to put damp boots back on the horse?Best practice is to fit dry boots only. These quick drying boots mean you can ensure they are dry before putting them back on your horse after washing them. 10. How do I look after my boots?Clean debris from the hook and loop material, close straps before putting in the machine and wash on a 30 degrees centigrade programme with non-bio powder. Closing the hook and loop straps when not in use will help prevent debris getting caught up in them. 11. Can my horse wear them in the stable?Yes they are fine for use in the stable. As an alternative option why not check out the Woof Wear Stable Boots. The wicking liners will dry the legs off if necessary whilst the Bio Ceramic liners will provide all the benefits or far infrared. 12. Do they offer any protection from brushing? There is a degree of protection offered by the strike pad, but if your horse brushes heavily then this boot is not suitable. 13. Do they offer any protection from overreaching? There is a degree of protection offered by the lower Kevlar section of the boot, but if your horse is a serial overreacher then we suggest you fit an overreach boot over the top of the Mud Fever Boot.]]></product_content>

<product_title><![CDATA[WW MEDICAL HOOF BOOT]]></product_title>
<product_content><![CDATA[A unique close fitting hoof boot designed to keep wounds, poultices and dressings clean. This durable boot is suitable for stable and turnout use enabling your horse to enjoy some freedom instead of being kept in his stable.Featuring a grooved sole for extra grip and a Kevlar® interior for durability it also has an asymmetric zip to give the boot a really close fit (and prevent it opening) stopping bedding and other debris from getting inside.Available in 9 different sizes based on shoe size, the boot is designed for use with or without a shoe. It can assist in a number of ailments to the foot such as abscesses, punctured sole or bruised sole, it also offers fabulous protection to the heel bulbs, coronet band and pasten. The boot is machine washable at 30 degrees. FAQ'sHow long will they last? They should last for 2 – 3 weeks turn out or longer if stabled. The biggest danger to the longevity of the boot is if the horse were to stand on it and damage it – they are not indestructible! Can they be used shod or unshod?Yes. The boot is designed for use with or without a shoe. How do you know how to buy the right size?Click on the 'Sizing' tab at the top of the page to find everything you need to know about choosing the right size. Can I ride in these? No.Can I turnout in these?Yes. Ground conditions must be reasonably dry and for the benefit of the horses comfort, fairly flat. We would not recommend you try and use them in very wet and muddy conditions. How easy are they to put on?These boots should be a snug fit (think wetsuit), you may need a couple of goes to get the hang of it but after that it should be very straight forward. There are video guides on the website to show you how to put them on. How long can you leave them on for?Common sense must prevail! The boot is not breathable as its designed to be water resistant so we would suggest that the maximum length of use during any one ‘fitting’ is one week. Is there any guarantee on them? The boot is not indestructible and the product is not guaranteed against breakage due to the horse standing on the boot. Are they waterproof? The zip is not waterproof. Are they breathable? No.My horse has a Keratoma – can I use it for that?Medical Hoof Boot is designed to protect dressings and keep them clean, dry and free from dirt and bedding etc, so would be suitable for use with a Keratoma. However, with an injury of this nature we strongly advise you use the boot in accordance with, and guidance from, your Vet and/or Farrier. My horse suffers from Thrush – can I use it?The Medical Hoof boot provides protection to the foot from foreign material such as dirt and bedding. This gives a controlled environment for topical medication to be applied to the foot and to keep it clean. The Medical Hoof Boot will not cure Thrush but it can help in the treatment of it. We recommend that you use the boot in accordance with, and guidance from, your Vet and/or Farrier. Is it suitable for use to prevent mud fever? The boot will cover the foot and pastern so will keep them free from mud, but as it only goes up to just below the fetlock joint, it will not be suitable if the field has deep mud. Common sense must prevail with regards to the length of time the boots are fitted and the environment the horse is turned out in. Can I use in the case of laminitis? The Medical Hoof Boot is designed to protect dressings etc and the foot in the event of shoe loss. However by its nature it does offer some support and certainly some relief for the foot. If wishing to use in cases of laminitis, we recommend that you use the boot in accordance with, and guidance from, your Vet and/or Farrier. My horse suffers from Thrush and/or Seedy Toe (aka White Line Disease) – can I use it?The Medical Hoof boot provides protection to the foot from foreign material such as dirt and bedding. This gives a controlled environment for topical medication to be applied to the foot and to keep it clean. The Medical Hoof Boot will not cure Thrush or Seedy Toe but it can help in the treatment of it. We recommend that you use the boot in accordance with, and guidance from, your Vet and/or Farrier. Can I use instead of Overreach boots when my horse is turned out?No, we do not recommend this as if your horse is prone to standing on himself, this will damage the boot. We would recommend our Kevlar Overreach boot for turnout or any of our other 3 styles of Overreach boot for ridden work. If you are concerned your horse will stand on the Medical Hoof Boot during use, we would recommend fitting an overreach boot over the top to protect it. It’s is still important that you purchase the correct size of Medical Hoof Boot for your horses foot, particularly if you are using boots on both front or hind feet and if your horse is particularly active/close coupled. Measure, Measure, Measure…The MHB is designed to be a snug fit so it doesn’t fall off. If you do not measure accurately or buy a size too big it can result in damage to the MHB due to the boot being trodden on by the other foot. Measuring Rules: Measure width carefully before bandaging, with or without shoe, Choose size per guide (don’t go to next size up), No need to add extra for dressings]]></product_content>
